Free Tax Prep and Filing Options

Are you familiar with Free Tax Preparation?  Many people are eligible for this service. Start filing your taxes for free from a variety of sources. Learn more about tax prep at https://www.realeconomicimpact.org/our-work/taxes-and-tax-preparation.  Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) offer free tax help to people who qualify.

Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)

The Earned Income Tax Credit, EITC is a benefit for working people with low to moderate income. To qualify, you must meet certain requirements and file a tax return, even if you do not owe any tax or are not required to file. EITC reduces the amount of tax you owe and may give you a refund.
